Well, it has been a rather wet April! Alex and Sydney have both started playing ball so Mac and I run all the time! We had baseball pictures Saturday at the park. When we got home from that we rode horses all afternoon. It was so much fun! We love our horses!!
It rained all day Sunday, so we were stuck indoors all day! It was a good day to curl up on the couch with a blanket and a good book. I even took a nap.
My dad had to have surgery again Sunday. He has had 3 surgeries in the past month! He is such a fighter. Hopefully it will be all uphill from here on out for him. He will be in the hospital for several weeks, though.
Alex was supposed to have a game last night, but it was rained out. That makes 2 out of his first 3 games were rained out. He had a game last Thursday. They lost, but he got a hit that short hopped the fence! We were so excited!! He plays again this Saturday. Mac and I are coaching his team. It has been fun so far. We are the yankees! Yes, we are huge Yankee fans!! We have a dog named Jeter and a dog named Joba.
Talk to you soon!

We had a great Easter weekend! Saturday I took the kids to the egg hunt at church. Sunday we went to church. We missed Sunday School, though, because the cows got out and we had to chase them back in. After church we went to Indiana to my Aunt Amy's house. There were lots of kids there! I have a big family on my dad's side. He has six brothers and sister who all have at least 2 kids. Now all of their kids have at least 2 kids. Holidays are a blast there, and we are a very close family. We have a tradition where we go down by the pond to the "bunny hole". That is where the easter bunny leaves suprises for the kids. We have been doing this since I was a kid. My grandparents started it, and now that they are both in heaven, my aunt carries on the tradition. The kids absolutely love going to the bunny hole!! Then we had an egg hunt. We also have a tradition with the egg hunt. Whoever finds the watermelon egg and the golden egg get a special prize.
When we left my aunt's we went to the hospital to visit my dad. He had surgery on his abdomen, and has been in the hospital for 2 weeks. He has had some complications because he has so many other health issues. The pain medicine he is on is causing him to hallucinate. It breaks my heart everytime I think about it. He has always been a strong, independent man. I'm not used to seeing him weak and dependent on someone else. He has to have another surgery because he has a pocket of fluid in his abdomen that has to be removed. I thank God for his girlfriend, Kay. If it weren't for her taking such good care of him, I'm afraid he would be dead by now.
Enough about that. It is depressing me. We had a good visit with dad, and then went to see my mom. We finally got home around 9:30 Sunday night. It was an exhausting weekend, but well worth it!

About Us!

Mac and I have been married for 9 years. We have 3 beautiful children that keep us very busy. Sydney is 11, Alex is 8, and Cole is 4. We have lived in Mt Eden, KY for 8 years. I was bron and raised in Seymour, IN. Mac was born and raised in Pensylvania. Sydney plays fastpitch softball for a traveling team called that Batcats. They are out of Anderson County. Alex plays rec league baseball. Mac and I coach Alex's baseball team. Cole hasn't decided what sports he wants to partake in yet. If I had to guess, I would say football. He is a little rough neck!
I am highly involved in church activities. We attend Mt Moriah Baptist Church in Mt Eden. Mac and I teach children's church. I help teach Team Kids, help in the nursery, teach VBS, help with the Christmas Program, and attend Moms In Touch. I love my brothers and sisters in Christ! They are such a blessing to me, and have helped me thru so many things.
I work in the Spencer County school system as an Instructional Assistant. I have been doing this for 5 years. I love it because I am off the same time my kids are off. Mac is a Journeyman Ironworker. He has been doing this for 13 years.
